System description

Function principle

  • The Quick-Lock-BIG System is based on the compression principle and the materials V4A and EPDM.
  • The divisible cuff is inserted into the pipe system through the entry opening.
  • The damaged area is widened with the Quick-Lock BIG clamping tool.

Requirements

  • All you need to install the Quick-Lock BIG sleeves is the clamping tool assembly set.

System advantages

  • Simple relocation process
  • durable materials V4A stainless steel and EPDM
  • articulated
  • No construction chemicals
  • Low investment in system technology
  • Materials are permanently resistant in municipal wastewater

Scope of application

Quick-Lock BIG was designed for the renovation of individual damages in walkable pipe systems. Classic damage patterns are socket leaks and radial cracks. In conjunction with an overlap rubber, damage to the route that is longer than the overall length of the sleeve can also be repaired.

Specifications

Materials

The materials used here, V4A stainless steel and EPDM rubber, have proven themselves in pipeline construction for decades. The stainless steel material quality 1.4404 (316L) is almost indefinitely durable in municipal wastewater.

The EPDM rubber seal corresponds to the current state of sealing technology in pipeline construction with a long life expectancy and very high resistance.

Delivery program

The Quick-Lock BIG system is available in two configurations:

  • Variant 1: Overall length 200 mm, diameter DN 800-1300, inner pipe pressure 1 bar, outer pipe pressure 1 bar (two-part)
  • Variant 2: Overall length 200 mm, diameter DN 1400-2000, inner pipe pressure 1 bar, outer pipe pressure 1 bar (three-part)

Quality and proofs

The repair of sewers and drains by means of inner collars is regulated in Code of Practice 143-5.

The building permit is applied for.

Proof of the tightness of the Quick-Lock BIG system against external pressure was provided in cooperation with the Münster University of Applied Sciences. Practical tests and strength tests have shown that Quick-Lock BIG can be used at an external pressure of up to 0.5 bar with twice the static safety.
